Announced in awards ceremony at AUVSI XPONENTIAL in Chicago, April 30
HOUSTON, TX. — Fluidity Technologies has been named as a 1st place winner in the Safety Solutions category of the XCELLENCE Awards by the Association for Unmanned Vehicles Systems International (AUVSI). Fluidity was selected from a pool of accomplished applicants. Winners were announced during the awards ceremony at AUVSI XPONENTIAL on Tuesday, April 30 at the McCormick Place in Chicago.

Fluidity’s FT Aviator, introduced in November 2018, is an intuitive, precise drone controller with critical camera interfaces built directly into the unit. Unlike traditional controllers, which most closely resemble a gaming controller with a complex two-thumbed control design, the FT Aviator’s single-handed flight control intuitively unlocks the human potential to fly a drone with a more natural and exacting way of piloting. Its design incorporates human factors engineering and ergonomics testing to eliminate the awkward interface and steeper learning curve of existing dual-thumbed drone control, as well as provides tactile and visual feedback on what’s really happening with the drone.
“The rapid growth of the unmanned systems industry is reshaping our future by expanding business markets, providing consumers with innovative solutions and even saving lives,” said Brian Wynne, president and CEO of AUVSI. “The XCELLENCE awards recognize companies and individuals who are achieving remarkable results with unmanned systems technology to benefit our communities.”
XPONENTIAL offers a broad-based and balanced educational program brimming with cutting-edge content and inspirational insights, ranging from policy implications and technical challenges to use cases and best practices across vertical markets and everything in between. The AUVSI XCELLENCE Awards honor innovators in the unmanned systems industry, including individuals and organizations, with a demonstrated commitment to advancing technology, leading and promoting safe operations, and developing programs that use unmanned systems to improve the human condition.
“We are elated to be selected by AUVSI and look forward to positively impacting the drone market with our simple, intuitive drone controller,” said Scott Parazynski, CEO, Fluidity Technologies. “It’s an incredible honor and we are excited to offer a product that will allow drone operators to learn to fly faster and safer, while virtually eliminating aircraft instability common with traditional control systems.”
As the unmanned systems industry’s largest trade show and conference, XPONENTIAL offers a broad-based and balanced educational program brimming with cutting-edge content and inspirational insights, ranging from policy implications and technical challenges to use cases and best practices across vertical markets and everything in between.
