Awards ceremony at XPONENTIAL in Chicago, Apr. 30.
Houston, TX. — Fluidity Technologies has been named as a finalist in the Safety Solutions category of the XCELLENCE Awards by the Association for Unmanned Vehicles Systems International (AUVSI). Fluidity Tech was selected from a pool of accomplished applicants as one of several finalists. Winners will be announced during the awards ceremony at AUVSI XPONENTIAL on Tuesday, Apr. 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. CDT at McCormick Place in Chicago.
Fluidity’s FT Aviator, launched in November 2018, is an intuitive, precise drone controllerwith critical camera interfaces built directly into the unit. Unlike traditional controllers, which most closely resemble a gaming controller with a complex two-thumbed control design, the FT Aviator’s single-handed flight control intuitively unlocks the human potential to fly a drone with a more natural and exacting way of piloting. Its design incorporateshuman factors engineering and ergonomics testing to eliminate the awkward interface and steeper learning curve of existing dual-thumbed drone control, as well as provides tactile and visual feedback on what’s really happening with the drone.
“The rapid growth of the unmanned systems industry is reshaping our future by expanding business markets, providing consumers with innovative solutions and even saving lives,” said Brian Wynne, president and CEO of AUVSI. “The XCELLENCE awards recognize companies and individuals who are achieving remarkable results with unmanned systems technology to benefit our communities.”
XPONENTIAL offers a broad-based and balanced educational program brimming with cutting-edge content and inspirational insights, ranging from policy implications and technical challenges to use cases and best practices across vertical markets and everything in between. The AUVSI XCELLENCE Awards honor innovators in the unmanned systems industry, including individuals and organizations, with a demonstrated commitment to advancing technology, leading and promoting safe operations, and developing programs that use unmanned systems to improve the human condition.
“We are thrilled the FT Aviator is being recognized by the world’s largest non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of unmanned systems and robotics,” said Scott Parazynski, CEO, Fluidity Technologies. “Our patented and intuitive control technology enables drone operators to learn to fly faster and safer, while virtually eliminating aircraft instability common with traditional control systems.”
